Library at Punjabi University

The main library of the University has a capacity of accommodating 400 people. The reference section has a collection of books on Punjab history, culture, language and literature. There is also a good collection of all Punjabi newspapers, magazines, books, diaries and rare manuscripts of 19th and 20th centuries. The library also has other facilities like Online Public access catalogue, internet facility, computerized bibliographic and documentation and reprographic services. It also has libraries at the satellite campuses at Mohali, Dehradun, Malerkotla, Bathinda and Talwandi Sabo.

Courses Offered at Punjabi University, Patiala

The University offers a six year integrated course in Engineering, M.Tech, M.C.A, and B.Tech at the Yadavindra College of Engineering at Talwandi Sabo. Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering courses are offered at the University College of Engineering from the year 2003. The other courses include M.Sc. (Information Technology), B.Sc. (Biotechnology), B.Tech. (Electronics and communication Engineering and Computer Engineering), PG Diploma in Computer Maintenance & Networking, MBA, BCA, PGDCA and CCA. The University also has a Department of Economics, Department of Biotechnology, Physiotherapy, Sports Sciences, Journalism, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics, PSMS and Economics.
