Punjabi University in Patiala is the second University in the world after Hebrew University to be named after a language. The University is also a member of The Association of Indian Universities. It had been given a CGPA of 3.11 by the NAAC rating. The main library of the University has a capacity of accommodating 400 people. The reference section has a collection of books on Punjab history, culture, language and literature. Jadavpur University

Jadavpur University, located in Kolkatta, is situated at the Raja S.C. Mallik Road, with the railway station, bus stand and airport at a reasonable distance. The University has a Central Library in the main campus with another Library in the second campus. Apart from this, there are also Departmental Libraries in each Department. Bharathidasan University, named after the great Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan was established on Trichy-Pudukkottai Highway. The University established The Centre for Distance Education not very long back. 14 UG, 24 PG and also MCA and MBA courses are offered through distance education mode. Personal Contact Programme is being organized for the students of distance education.
